Letters and the telephone were Lucien De Roeck’s only means of communication in the age without the internet. He adored sending hand-written letters to his family and friends. Everyone could happily think back to when the postman pushed a new envelope through the letterbox, written using ecoline calligraphy and totally personalised. He would send his personal greetings in one of these envelopes to hundreds of people every year.
